About SCIS

The SCIS team manages a range of subscription-based products specifically for the needs of school libraries throughout Australia, New Zealand and overseas. As part of Curriculum Corporation, it is directly responsible to the Curriculum Corporation Board, which consists of representatives of all Australian Ministers for Education, the independent and Catholic schools sectors, teachers and parents and the New Zealand Minister for Education.

Cataloguing agencies supported by education departments in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia as well as additional contract cataloguers located in Adelaide, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin contribute catalogue records to the database and make invaluable contributions to both SCIS Subject Headings and the SCIS Cataloguing Standards.
